PROGRAMS

After many years of presenting birding programs, Bob Schutsky is stepping down from the podium and turning off the microphone. The growing tour business is keeping him very busy. He would like to introduce two other speakers that you may wish to contact. Both gentlemen are Bob's close personal friends and they come highly recommended.

  • FRANK HAAS presents a program entitled "Adak - Gambling on Birds". This program gives a short history of Adak Island, Alaska and a review of its birdlife and recent Asian stragglers reported there. Adak is in the Aleutian Island chain and, as such, attracts numerous Asian vagrants as well as hosting a variety of "Aleutian" forms of North American breeders. Frank can be reached by e-mail or by telephone at 717-445-9609 in Lancaster County, PA.

  • JACK HUBLEY is a familiar face to those who watch WGAL-TV, the NBC affiliate in Southcentral Pennsylvania. He has hosted several half-hour nature shows during the past two decades, including the nationally syndicated "Wild Moments". He also lectures on native wildlife and, with his personal zoo-on-wheels, makes appearances at a wide variety of venues throughout Pennsylvania. He lives in Lititz, Lancaster County, and can be reached by phone at 717-627-2605, or by e-mail.
